Drake's Bay
A perfect half moon, Drak Bay lies on the northern end of the Osa Peninsula in Puntarenas province and is one of the most remote and natural settings in Costa Rica. Discovered by Sir Francis Drake in 1579 during his circumference of the globe, this area is exclusively accessible by boat and air.
Drake Bay is one of the gateways to the biologically diverse Corcovado National Park and has one of the most spectacular Pacific coast trails. The Drake community lives on the bay and river, still using horses and small boats for transportation. The abundance of wildlife, particularly birds, combined whit a friendly environment makes Drakes a truly natural and authentic paradise.

These waters provide one of the world’s most important nesting stiles to humpback whales and are home to many species of playful dolphins
From Drake Bay, travelers can easily access Isla del Caño. Snorkelers and scuba divers can catch a glimpse of the underwater beauty and swim among vividly colored fish. Kayaking and canoeing tours are available, as well as horseback riding and hiking.
