1.Visibility: Due to the high nutrient content in the waters off the Coast of Quepos and Manuel Antonio the visibility varies from site to site but usually averages 30ft plus.
2.Marine Life Encountered: Because of the high nutrient content of the water, the abundance and variety of marine life off the coast of Quepos and Manuel Antonio is impressive. Humpback Whales, Dolphins, Reef Sharks, Giant Manta Rays, Mobula Rays, Sting Rays, Octopus, Sea Turtles, Groupers, Snappers, Angels, Moorish Idols, Trumpet fish, various types of Eels, Crustaceans, huge schools of Barracuda, Jacks, Grunts, and much more.
3.Coral Formations: Soft and hard coral formations are common but not as colorful or abundant as the Caribbean.
4.Temperature Range: High 80's to low 70's with thermoclines at varying depths.
5.Exposure Protection Needed: For most people, a 2mm spring suit (shorty) will suffice. If you tend to get cold a full 2mm or 3mm suit will almost always do the job. Our rental department stocks quality O’Neil 2mm/3mm combination shorty suits.
