Take one of Costa Rica’s most naturally diverse history walks!

Positioned at the top of the Continental Divide in western Costa Rica, the Preserve extends down the Caribbean and Pacific slopes. The combination of climatic and geographic factors results in temperature and humidity gradients which change dramatically over relatively short distances.

This Cloud Forest is home to unique animal species such as the red and blue Poison Arrow frogs, as well as the Golden Toad, very hard to spot nowadays. Splendid quetzals and Bell-birds fly above the trees and iridescent hummingbirds hover around looking for nectar.

We recommend taking this tour early in the morning so that you can experience the forest’s wildlife at its fullest.
