Limon 2009 began its march in the National Sports Games

Close to ¢ 2,000 millions could cost to organize the XXIX Edition of the National Sports Games, next year in Limon.

¨We need to improve some infrastructures and transfer routes; all this will raise the costs ¨said Osvaldo Pandolfo, chairman of the National Sports Council.

Osvaldo Pandolfo also said that they need to improve and make some changes in the Siquirres, Guacimo and Batan Gymnasiums.

This is the reason that we are making an estimate calculation of a minimum amount of money.

In this millions they are involving, food, transport and all the basic needs of the players which are very expensive.

New facilities would not be required, except for the athletic track of the new stadium in Limon.

The hierarch said that the rest of things are minimum improvements.

The Big Boy (Baseball Park) is in very good conditions and we hope that the new stadium will be ready by May.

"The idea is to move the synthetically trail of National Stadium, but it is not so simple. If we could, we will entail a lot of advantages and we will save time "said Pandolfo.

If the "transplant" of the National trail could not be passed to Limon the bidding for the track will complicate times in the face of the Games, the athletic part would take place in Siquirres, as a second option.

Remember that Limon 2009 will maintain the distribution scheme in the provincial powers, launched in the Games that concluded Sunday.

These is done in order to build the infrastructure installed, prevent the costs raises and avoid delays in the delivery of the works, something common in the history of sports fair.

Therefore, a proposal for the distribution of sports is still on paper.

However, Pandolfo said, to cite one example-Guápiles was the headquarters in 2000 and could accommodate six different sports.

One issue to keep in mind is the dengue, although it decreased, last year it forced the cancellation of the Limon carnivals.

"We have study and eliminate it internally but we must followed the pulse and understand that the matter has greatly improved," he concluded.
