Welcome at Juan Santamaría International Airport. Transfer to the hotel of your choice.
Enjoy a ride on the gondolas of our aerial tram, with unforgettable views of our nature reserve. On this tour you will explore Costa Rica's rainforest from the forest floor all the way up to the treetops. Our aerial tram lets you appreciate every secret this territory hides, and you will enjoy incredible views of Braulio Carrillo National Park and of our own nature reserve. After the Aerial Tram, a private transfer will take you to your hotel in Puerto Viejo, Limón.
This tour takes place on a boat with capacity for 14 people, with a captain and a guide, around Cahuita National Park, where you will snorkel for approximately 2 hours over the most important coral reef in Costa Rica, home to 35 different species of coral, 123 species of tropical fish, 3 species of sharks, 6 species of moray eels, 3 species of sea urchins, 140 molluscs, 44 crustaceans, 128 algae, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, sea sponges, lobsters and shrimp, among others. Snorkeling equipment (mask, fins and snorkel) is provided. After snorkeling you will be offered a snack of seasonal tropical fruit and fresh bottled water, and then the second stage of the tour begins: a guided nature walk. The guide will take you through different points between Punta Cahuita and the village of Cahuita (3.5 kilometers), where you can spot several types of snakes (boas, eyelash viper, fer-de-lance, oropel, mica, ranera, etc.), sloths, white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, anteaters, armadillos, raccoons, blue morpho butterflies, birds and much more, such as medicinal plants, orchids, trees, ferns and bromeliads.
The Sarapiqui River area is rich in flora and fauna. The harmonious surroundings will allow you to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Situated a mere 91 km northwest of San José, the Arenal Volcano is one the most active volcanoes in the Americas. In 1968 it erupted decimating the small town of Baldi.
Next, we will visit the Baldi Hot Springs where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. At a convenient time after your arrival, we will treat you to a scrumptious dinner and at the end of the evening you will be transferred to your hotel in Arenal.
Optional tours available (not included).
Before returning to the city of San José, we will visit the relaxing Baldi Hot Springs, where you can enjoy the rejuvenating effects of its thermal waters.
Transfer from your hotel in San José to the International Airport for your flight home.
