Welcome to Costa Rica.
Upon your arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport, you will be received by our representative, who will provide assistance and coordinate your private transfer to the selected hotel in San José.
During the drive to the capital you will be able to have a first contact with the Costa Rican landscape and enjoy the transition between the airport and the metropolitan area.
Arrival at the hotel, check-in and free time to rest after the trip.
Accommodation: San José
After breakfast, we will begin our tour of San José to discover the history, culture and architecture of the Costa Rican capital.
We will begin with a general orientation of the city as we head toward La Sabana Metropolitan Park, one of the main urban spaces in San José.
We will continue to the historic National Theater of Costa Rica, one of the country's most emblematic buildings. Built and completed in 1897, the theater represents a fundamental part of Costa Rican cultural and architectural heritage.
Afterwards we will visit one of Costa Rica's museums, where we can learn about different aspects related to national history, culture and heritage.
The tour will continue to important points of interest, including the University of Costa Rica, the Supreme Court of Justice and other landmarks representative of San José.
During the tour we will also make a stop at a crafts shop, where we will have time to see traditional products and, if you wish, purchase a souvenir of Costa Rica.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel and free time.
Accommodation: San José
After breakfast we will begin one of the most complete excursions of the program, combining coffee culture, volcanoes and rainforest.
The first part of our tour will take us toward the city of Alajuela, passing points of interest such as the Monument to the Farmer, the Monument to Juan Santamaría and the well-known Parque de los Mangos.
We will continue toward the region's mountains to visit Doka Coffee Estate, a traditional coffee plantation.
Here we will enjoy a breakfast and take a tour of the plantation to learn about the Costa Rican coffee production process. We will learn about the techniques used to grow, select and process one of Costa Rica's most internationally recognized agricultural products.
Afterwards we will continue toward Poás Volcano National Park.
Poás Volcano is one of the best-known volcanoes in the country. During the visit we will be able to admire, when access and weather conditions allow, its impressive main crater and get to know the different ecosystems present in this volcanic area.
Afterwards we will continue to La Paz Waterfall Gardens.
On arrival we will enjoy lunch and then begin the walk along the park's trails. The walk will take us through the rainforest to several spectacular waterfalls.
The complex also features attractions dedicated to the fauna and flora of Costa Rica, including a butterfly garden, hummingbird gallery, serpentarium, aviary and frog exhibit.
At the end of the visit, transfer back to San José.
Accommodation: San José.
After breakfast we will leave San José to head toward the Arenal Volcano region, one of the most emblematic natural destinations in Costa Rica.
The route will take us toward the La Fortuna area, crossing rural and mountainous landscapes.
The Arenal Volcano is located approximately 91 kilometers northwest of San José and is one of the most representative volcanoes in the country. Its history is marked by the great eruption of 1968, which significantly transformed the region.
During the journey we will be able to enjoy the characteristic landscapes of northern Costa Rica.
On reaching the Arenal area we will have time to settle in and get ready for one of the most relaxing experiences of the trip.
In the afternoon/evening we will visit Baldi Hot Springs, where we can enjoy its thermal waters while contemplating the region's natural surroundings.
The thermal pools offer an ideal space to rest and relax after the trip.
We will end the experience with a dinner before the transfer back to the hotel.
Accommodation: Arenal / La Fortuna
Today we will enjoy a free day in the La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano area.
It is the perfect time to rest, enjoy the hotel facilities or explore the area on your own.

At the indicated time we will begin the shared transfer to Monteverde, one of the most renowned natural regions of Costa Rica.
Monteverde is famous for its tropical cloud forests, a combination of humidity, lush vegetation and biodiversity that creates one of the most unique ecosystems in the country.

The constant humidity and abundant vegetation create the ideal conditions for a great variety of species.
During the walk we will have the opportunity to observe, depending on the conditions and wildlife activity, different species of birds, insects, butterflies and plants.
